Details
Black Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare): this extraordinary aromatic has become increasingly rare in recent years, the flattening of the market due to large-scale distribution has focused the cultivation ofn common wild fennel (fennel). The two varieties are very similar, not a lot of care during cultivation, the plant is robust ance exceeds 1,5 mt (especially if provided fertile soil and proper irrigation). Unlike the common fennel, the plant is bronze, extremely ornamental, and fragrant.
The aroma is also different, intense, less balsamic and with deep notes of liquorice, almost sweet, definitely very pleasant.
The plant can be cultivated as an annual but if grown in areas with no intense frosts it is perennial. The seeds
are collected when they are dry on the plant, but before the wind disperses them
