    Piennolo del Vesuvio Tomato (Lycopersicon lycopersicum): this is one of the most ancient and typical products of Campania agriculture, thanks to the selection from garden to garden, this ecotype has incredible characteristics, solid stem attachment, thick skin, and high concentration of sugars, which make it suitable for long storage.

    Hence, the possibility of producing “piennolo”, the typical hanging procedure, because of its  exceptional organoleptic characteristics.

    It is rustic an undemanding, needs very little irrigation, and offers the possibility of dry cultivation.
