Sasha Altai Tomato (Lycopersicon lycopersicum): the seeds of this gem were given to Bill MDorman in 1989 by his close Siberian friend, Sasha. He claimed  this variety, grown in his garden in the Altai Shan mountain range, was “the best tomato in all of Siberia”.

The Sasha Altai was nominated by the Organic Garden Magazine, a prestigious US magazine, as one of the 10 best early tomatoes in the world.

The bright red fruit, round and slightly flattened, has fine skin and complex taste; its weight ranges from 150 to 180 gm. The determinate plant is ready in 60 days from transplant.
