Torpedino Tomato  (L. lycopersicum L.): important ecotype cultivated in the Italian Agro-Pontino area up to upper Campania. There are many characteristics to render it a source of pride for our region: the taste of the small berries (about 25g) is extraordinarily full and balanced between acid and sweet, the pulp has a compact, fleshy, slightly watery consistency. It is consumed both, green raw and ripe for exceptional sauces.

Picked from the plant, it can be preserved for many days and is also suitable for drying and preserving in oil.

Despite its many properties, it is rarely cultivated outside its area of origin, also due to the difficulty in finding seeds. The plant is determined, very productive, with reduced water requirements and excellent resistance to plant diseases. A tomato that will provide great satisfaction.
