From Ancient Persia to the very distant New Zealand these varieties are now naturalized in our gardens. All ancient varieties, the Merlo Nero from Italy, the Monstrous from Virofly in Paris,  and the New Zealander (Maori): the perennial spinach that can be grown all year round.
